In-stream ads
As a YouTube in-stream ads expert, I run skippable ads before or during videos, and use non-skippable and bumper ads when a short, guaranteed message is the goal.
A STORY WORTH WATCHING
I plan and manage YouTube advertising through Google Ads, from skippable in-stream and Shorts ads to Demand Gen campaigns built for conversions. Targeting, creative guidance and tracking from an experienced YouTube advertising specialist.
THE YOUTUBE ADS EXPERIENCE
Connect what viewers see with what you want them to understand and do next.
Establish the story and relevance at the beginning.
A YouTube Ads expert plans, launches and manages video campaigns on YouTube through Google Ads. The work covers choosing campaign types and formats such as in-stream, Shorts and in-feed ads, building audiences, guiding the video creative, setting up conversion tracking and optimising for views, leads or sales at a sensible cost.
YOUTUBE VIDEO ADS EXPERT
YouTube is the second place many people go when they want to learn something, compare products or see how something works. That makes it far more than a TV replacement. It is a place where buying decisions get made, often long before someone clicks a search ad.
The challenge is attention. Most people watch the first few seconds of an ad and then decide whether to skip. If your brand, problem or offer is not clear in that window, you pay for impressions that leave no mark. Good YouTube advertising starts with creative that respects that reality.
With 15 years of experience in paid advertising, I treat YouTube as part of a full funnel. As your YouTube video ads expert, I make sure video campaigns build the demand that your Google Search and remarketing campaigns later turn into sales.

YOUTUBE ADS MANAGEMENT
YouTube has several ad formats and campaign types. Here is what my YouTube Ads management covers.
As a YouTube in-stream ads expert, I run skippable ads before or during videos, and use non-skippable and bumper ads when a short, guaranteed message is the goal.
Vertical video ads between Shorts. As a YouTube Shorts ads expert, I adapt your ideas to a fast, phone first format that feels native.
Ads in YouTube search results and recommendations, where people choose to click and watch. Great for tutorials, reviews and longer stories.
Video and image ads across YouTube, Discover and Gmail, built for conversions. They are my usual choice when the goal is leads or sales.
Custom segments based on Google searches, in-market and affinity audiences, placements, remarketing and customer lists.
Conversions, view through results and branded search lift are tracked so you see what video really contributes.
YOUTUBE AD FORMATS
Each format has a different job. This table shows when I use each one.
| Format | Length and style | Best for | How you usually pay |
|---|---|---|---|
| Skippable in-stream | Any length, skip after 5 seconds | Consideration, leads and sales | Per view or interaction, or by conversion goals |
| Non-skippable in-stream | Up to around 15 seconds | Short, guaranteed messages | Per thousand impressions |
| Bumper ads | Up to 6 seconds, no skip | Reminders and frequency | Per thousand impressions |
| In-feed video | Thumbnail and text in search and feeds | Tutorials, reviews and longer content | When someone clicks to watch |
| Shorts ads | Vertical, short and fast | Younger, mobile audiences | Depends on campaign type |
| Masthead | Top of the YouTube home feed | Big launches with big budgets | Reserved, usually through Google |
HOW I RUN YOUTUBE CAMPAIGNS
Here is how a typical YouTube Ads project runs. It works whether you have existing videos or need to create new ones.
We agree what YouTube should achieve: awareness, consideration, leads or sales, and who we need to reach.
I review your existing videos or write a brief for new ones, focusing on the hook, the brand moment and the call to action.
Conversions are set up in Google Ads and GA4, with audiences created for remarketing to viewers.
I launch with a few audiences and video versions so we learn quickly what holds attention and drives action.
I adjust targeting, bids and creative based on view rates, engagement and conversions, then scale what works.
How YouTube ads move people to buy
YOUTUBE ADS OPTIMIZATION EXPERT
On skippable ads, you only pay in many cases when someone watches long enough or interacts. That means a strong opening saves money and a weak one costs it. I look closely at where viewers drop off and test new openings before changing anything else.
As a YouTube Ads optimization expert, I also review placements to keep your ads off channels that do not suit your brand, check frequency so the same person is not shown your ad too many times, and compare audiences to find the ones that go on to convert.
The chart shows which factors I find have the biggest effect on YouTube results.
Five seconds before the skip button

YOUTUBE VIDEO MARKETING EXPERT CHECKLIST
You do not need a film crew to run good YouTube ads. Clear messages filmed simply often beat glossy brand videos. I check these points in every video brief.
HIRE A YOUTUBE ADS EXPERT
You can hire me as a YouTube Ads freelancer for full campaign management, as a YouTube Ads consultant to plan strategy with your video team, or as a YouTube Ads campaign manager for a product launch. I also review existing video campaigns that are spending without clear results.
YouTube is hugely popular in Pakistan, which makes it a strong channel for brands targeting Islamabad, Rawalpindi and the rest of the country. I also run YouTube campaigns for clients targeting the UK, US and Gulf. I am based in Scheme 3, Rawalpindi, and your Google Ads and YouTube channel stay in your name.
If you plan to run video on other platforms too, see my TikTok Ads and Meta Ads services.

COMMON YOUTUBE ADS MISTAKES
YouTube runs through Google Ads, so it is easy to treat it like search. It is not. As a YouTube PPC expert, these are the mistakes I fix most often.
Many people watch an ad, then search for you later. If you only count clicks from the video, YouTube looks worse than it really is. I track branded search and view through results too.
A two minute brand film may suit in-stream, but Shorts and bumpers need short, vertical or punchy cuts. One video rarely fits every format.
Without checks, ads can run on kids content, music channels or apps that do not suit your brand. I review and exclude placements regularly.
Video viewers are a valuable warm audience. Not following up with search, display or Demand Gen ads leaves a lot of value unused.
Fixing these usually makes YouTube look and perform much better, because you are finally measuring and using what the views create.
YOUTUBE ADS FOR DIFFERENT GOALS
YouTube can support every stage of the buying journey, but each stage needs a different setup. For awareness, I use reach focused campaigns with bumpers and non-skippable ads to show your brand to as many relevant people as possible at a low cost per thousand. For consideration, skippable in-stream and in-feed ads give people time to understand your offer.
For leads and sales, Demand Gen campaigns with conversion bidding and strong calls to action do most of the work. Many accounts use all three, with budgets shifted toward whichever stage needs the most help.

USEFUL TO KNOW
Costs vary by format, audience and competition. You set the budget, and on many campaign types you pay per view or per thousand impressions. I suggest a test budget based on your goal.
No. A clear, honest video filmed on a good phone often performs well. The message and the first few seconds matter more than production quality.
Yes. Demand Gen campaigns and conversion focused bidding can drive leads and sales directly, and video also lifts branded searches that convert later.
Shorts ads are vertical video ads shown between YouTube Shorts. They suit fast, mobile first creative and often reach younger audiences.
I use custom segments based on what people search on Google, in-market and affinity audiences, specific channels or videos, and your own customer and website visitor lists.
It depends on the format and goal. Bumpers are up to six seconds. Skippable ads can be longer, but the key message must land in the first five seconds.
Yes. YouTube has a huge audience in Pakistan and ads can be targeted by city, language and interests, which suits both local and national brands.
